Abstract
The purpose of National Development as implied in the 1945 Constitution is to protect the entire nation and the entire blood of Indonesia, realizing the general welfare, educating the life of the nation and participating in implementing the world order based on independence, eternal peace, and social justice. So in essence development is a continuous effort to improve people`s prosperity in various aspects of life. In an effort to improve the quality of development to be more optimal then required monitoring of the results of development. Accurate and up-to-date data is an appropriate tool for monitoring development outcomes, so that ultimately appropriate programs can be established in order to achieve national development targets. The National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) organized by BPS is one of the sources of information to get an overview of the socio-economic conditions of the community. Information on the socio-economic conditions of the community that has been collected through Susenas, is used as a basis for obtaining various indicators of the achievement of people`s welfare. These indicators include: school enrollment rates and literacy rates for education; Morbidity rate, utilization of health facilities, health insurance, breastfeeding on baduta, and immunization for health, and birth attendants; Age of first marriage, family planning participation, and the average number of children born for fertility and family planning; Living conditions, water sources for drinking, cooking, bathing and washing for housing; Ownership of HP, internet access in the utilization of information technology, and assistance / government programs for the welfare of the community. This publication consists of explanations and tables. The explanation consists of a general overview, survey method that includes scope, sample framework, sampling design, data collection methods, and data processing. The table in this publication consists of data tables on population, education, health, fertility and family planning, housing, information and communication technology, and other tables People`s Welfare Statistic 2016. Samples are selected by two stages one stage stratified sampling method:
Stage 1: Select 25 percent of population census blocks in Probability Proportional to Size (PPS), with size of households in SP2010 per strata. Stage 2: Selecting a number of census blocks according to systematic allocation in each urban / rural strata.
