December 2024 inflation (y-on-y) of West Java Province at 1.64 percent

Abstract

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by the increase in the index of expenditure groups, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group by 1.75 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.22 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.45 percent; household supplies, equipment and routine maintenance group by 1.03 percent; health group by 2.22 percent; recreation, sports, and culture group by 1.28 percent; education group by 2.34 percent; food and beverage supply/restaurant group by 2.34 percent; and personal care and other services group by 9.09 percent.
While the expenditure groups that experienced a decrease in the index, namely: the information, communication and financial services group by 0.39 percent and also the transportation group by 0.05 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate of West Java Province in December 2024 was 0.35 percent, while the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate was 1.64 percent.
