August 2024 West Java Province Inflation at 2.39 percent (y-on-y)

The highest inflation occurred in Subang Regency by 2.90 percent with a CPI of 108.47 and the lowest occurred in Cirebon City by 1.18 percent with a CPI of 104.70.
The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate of West Java Province in August 2024 was 0.07 percent, while the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate was 1.23 percent.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by the increase in the index of expenditure groups, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group by 3.71 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.77 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0.63 percent; household supplies, equipment and routine maintenance group by 1.06 percent; health group by 2.50 percent; transportation group by 1.35 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 3.54 percent; education group by 2.06 percent; food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 2.13 percent; personal care and other services group by 7.99 percent. While the expenditure groups that experienced a decrease in the index, namely: information, communication, and financial services group by 0.35 percent.
