Abstract

March 2012, CPI Combined Jawa Barat covering 7 cities of Bandung City, Cirebon City, Tasikmalaya City, Bekasi City, Bogor City, Sukabumi City and Depok City experienced deflation when compared to the February 2012 CPI of 0.02 percent. Inflation for 2012 (year to date inflation) reached 0.76 percent. Jawa Barat Composite Inflation over the last twelve months (March 2012 to March 2011 or year on year) of 3.33 percent. Of the seven groups of household expenditures, five groups experienced inflation, the highest in food, beverages, cigarette & tobacco groups and clothing group contributing 0.24 percent, followed by housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel by 0, 19 percent, and the health and transport, communication & financial services group contributed the same inflation of 0.17 percent respectively, while the education, recreation and sports groups did not significantly contribute to inflation by 0.00 percent. Meanwhile, the foodstuff category experienced deflation of 0.61 percent.
