Economic Growth in Jawa Barat on Quarter III/2009

Economic Growth Rate (LPE) of Jawa barat as measured by the increase of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) on the previous quarter (qtq), entering the third quarter of 2009, amounted to 5.35 percent. The highest growth was achieved by trade, hotel and restaurant sector by 11.18 percent, followed by electricity, gas and water (LGA) sector by 10.77 percent and in third position occupied by building sector by 8.98 percent, while growth the lowest was in the services sector by 2.46 percent. 􀀻 Year on year (yoy), that is, when compared to the third quarter of 2008, GDP growth in the third quarter of 2009 reached 3.95 percent. The highest yoy growth was achieved by LGA sector at 22.57 percent, while the lowest growth was in the manufacturing sector minus 1.18 percent. 􀀻 Non-oil / gas LPE (qtq) in Q3 / 2009 reached 5.32 percent, 0.03 points lower than the overall GRDP growth of 5.35 percent.
