Abstract

In March 2009, the NTP Joint Province of Jawa barat recorded 96.23 or decreased by 1.13 percent from NTP in February 2009 of 97.33, this was caused by the decrease of Index received by Farmers (IT) by 0.49 percent, while the Paid Index of farmers (IB) an increase of 0.65 percent. 􀀻 Farmer Term of Trade (NTP) for each subsector was recorded 108.66 for Fisheries sub sector (NTP-Pi), 107.17 for subsector of Smallholder Plantation (NTP-Pr), 100.39 for Horticulture subsector (NTP-H), 97.23 for Livestock sub- NTP-Pt) and 90.71 for the Rice and Palawija sub-sectors (NTP-P). 􀀻 In March 2009, inflation occurred in rural areas of Jawa barat by 0.75 percent, which was greatly influenced by the rise in the Food Group Food Price Index by 0.81 percent, Housing up 3.76 percent, Sandang up 0.69 percent, Health up 0.40 percent and Education, Recreation and Sports rose 0.89 percent, while the Food and Transportation and Communications Group fell by 0.24 percent and 0.53 percent respectively compared to February 2009.
