Abstract

In January 2008, Jawa Barat Farmers Exchange Rate (NTP) recorded 118.68 or rose 2.29 percent compared to NTP in December 2007 which reached 116.02. This is due to the increase of the Price Index Received by Farmers (IT) of 5.18 percent from 698.05 to 734.21, while the Paid Price Farmers (IB) increased by 2.82 percent from 601.68 in December 2007 to 618.66 in January 2008. In month January 2008, inflation occurred in rural areas of Jawa Barat by 2.53 percent. Rural inflation occurred because the Food Sub-Group's Price Index rose 3.05 percent, Housing rose 1.40 percent, Clothing rose 1.77 percent and Assorted Goods and Services rose 3.08 percent from December 2007.
