Reposted from @benpassubang The Subang Regency Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) reported that inflation in Subang Regency for August 2024 was recorded at 0.12 per cent month-to-month. Year-to-date inflation from January to August 2024 reached 0.37 per cent.
In the Talkshow Lebih Dekat (Lekat) at Radio Benpas Subang Studio on Tuesday (10/9), Affan Afriana, SP, Head of the Distribution Statistics Team at BPS Subang Regency, explained that August inflation showed deflation compared to July 2024. However, year-on-year inflation in Subang Regency remained under control at 2.9 per cent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) reaching 108.47 in 2024.
‘Our focus is on maintaining month-to-month and year-to-date stability, as well as monitoring year-on-year to see long-term economic trends,’ Affan said.
He also noted that in August 2024, the food, beverage, and tobacco commodity groups experienced deflation, while non-food items experienced an increase. Affan urged the public to remain calm and wise in spending, especially for those with fixed incomes, as fluctuations in spending can affect the perception of inflation.
