This was conveyed by the Head of Subang BPS Muhammad Sholihin, S.E, MM and Distribution Financial Officer Affan Afrian in the Talkhsow More Dekat (Lekat) with the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Subang Regency on Wednesday (8/5) at Radio Benpas Subang Studio.
According to Muhammad Sholihin, Subang Regency is trusted to calculate the consumer price index. In West Java alone, there are a total of 10 districts including Subang that are assigned to calculate the consumer price index (CPI).
This inflation activity also coordinates with BPS colleagues at the Subang Regency Regional Secretariat, Economic Section, then the TPID Team including the Office of Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises, Trade and Industry (DKUPP), the Food Security Office and other agencies.
Inflation itself is calculated in three ways, namely Month to Month (m to m), Years to Date (y to d) and Years on Years (y to y).
The Month to Month inflation is the price change from month to month. While Month to Date describes the cumulative side from month to month. Another one is Years to Years to see price developments that occur in the same month in different years, for example looking at changes in January 2023 with January 2024.
Years on Years inflation in Subang is said to be quite high over the last four months. Even so, this is nothing to worry about because if you look at the data from Month to Month the performance of the government's handling of inflation has had a positive impact.
